JK Shin, head of Samsung Mobile Communications, confirmed that Samsung will officially be announcing the Galaxy S III mini at an event in Germany tomorrow. The rendering of the “mini” Android has leaked online and for what’s being considered a smaller device, Samsung is packing it with a decent spec sheet:
Model number is reportedly GT-I8190, comes with a 4-inch Super AMOLED Display (resolution of 800×480), runs Android OS 4.1 Jelly Bean, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 5MP camera, front-facing camera, DLNA, NFC, a 1,500mAh battery, and has overall dimensions of 121.55 x 62.95 x 9.85 mm.
There’s absolutely no confirmation that the Samsung Galaxy S III mini will be coming to Canada. According to Mobile Geeks, they believe this will cost 399 euros when it’s officially released. More will be revealed tomorrow.
Update: A real-life pic has surfaced online that show exactly how the device will look. As expected, a smaller GS III.
