Samsung reportedly getting ready to rebrand image, possibly will be unveiled at CES 2013

Samsung, according to the latest report from Australia, is going to reveal a new brand direction. Sources from ChannelNews stated that Samsung has summoned the help from ad exec Scott Bedbury who’s worked on Nike and Starbuck’s to reveal something “more vibrant” like Apple. Apparently everything will be revealed at the upcoming CES 2013 in January.

Most surprisingly is that the report notes that the “current blue Samsung logo will disappear, with all new product marketing linked via their own individual colours that are part of an overall brand family.” If true, smartphones would have one colour, TV’s another, display’s yet another, semiconductors another, and so on… As for the specific advertising strategy, well a source said that “Even the advertising will change with products linked to lifestyle activities similar to what Nike does.”

Samsung, of course, has yet to confirm this news.
