LG Optimus G2 specs leak, rumoured to sport a 5-inch display, quad-core and run Android Key Lime Pie

The Optimus G is LG’s most powerful and best looking smartphone to-date. The specs are impressive as it comes packed with a 1.5Ghz quad-core processor, 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 1280Ă—768, 2GB RAM, 8MP camera, 2100mA and currently runs Android OS 4.0 ICS.

It’s expected that we’ll see a follow-up to this flagship device, but new reports indicate that it’s soon than later. According to Korean site MK News they are pegging LG to come out with the Optimus G2 within the next 6 months – so sometime around May. As for rumoured specific specs, this will get a slight bump up to a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (440 ppi), LTE, 2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon Prime processor and run Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

That’s a respectable device. If true, looks like 5-inch devices will be the size of flagship Androids next year. Samsung is also rumoured to be releasing the Galaxy S IV with the same sized display. No word on when an official announcement will be made, possibly at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in February.
