When Bell launched their Push-to-Talk (PTT) service in April they also released Android and BlackBerry apps. The devices that could download the respected apps were limited, for BlackBerry smartphones it was the Bold 9900 and the Curve 9360, then for Android it was only the Samsung Galaxy S II.
Bell recently launched the Rugby LTE to their PTT network, and now Bell customers who have the Samsung Galaxy S III can download the PTT app. You can grab the app here from Google Play, but to use PTT you’ll need to subscribe to Bell’s PTT add-on (Unlimited Canada-wide Push-to-talk for $15/month).
In addition, it looks like Bell is still pushing ahead with their PTT LTE launch – set for ‘mid-2013’ – as the internal doc we received states that “Once PTT is 4G LTE ready in 2013, customers will automatically get access to blazing 4G LTE speeds.”
