Google employee draws the evolution of Android, complete with a Key Lime Pie ending

There’s been much speculation as to what Google will name the next major Android OS update. Jelly Bean (4.1 and 4.2) was recently released, but previous OS names have been Cupcake (v1.5), Donut (v2.0), Eclair (v2.1), Froyo (Frozen Yogourt) (v2.2), Gingerbread (v2.3), Honeycomb (v3.0), and Ice Cream Sandwich (v4.0).

We’ve seen Key Lime Pie – potentially Android OS 5.0 – pop up in benchmark tests, but today a comic designed by Google employee Manu Cornet (who works on the Gmail team) has the internet swirling. He’s designed an evolution of the OS names and proudly adds to all the rumours by making it end up at Key Lime Pie. Of course, this is far from confirmation and was made “just for fun.”
