HTC 8S sold out at Virgin Mobile, “has been flying off the shelves”

The HTC 8S is a great device, and with its $279 price stands to be one of the most popular devices for prepaid plans on Virgin.

This seems to be the case, in fact, as Virgin Mobile is reporting that the phone is sold out and “has been flying off the shelves.” While that’s the standard statement when a device isn’t available from its website, we’ve checked around and found that the phone is largely sold out in most Virgin Mobile stores as well.

While the 8X may be a better purchase for anyone looking to sign a contract, the 8S stands to be the best deal on a no-contract phone at the moment, especially until the Lumia 820 becomes available in Canada.
