Polaroid is getting into the Android camera game, but this one has interchangeable lenses

Polaroid will debut an Android-powered camera with interchangeable lenses at CES, according to the company’s CEO, Scott Hardy.

The company has been pretty quiet in recent years but, along with various collaborations with artists such as Lady Gaga, is slowly getting into the digital camera game. Gleaned from a statement to Imaging Resource, the company will show off a premium digital camera at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show, complete with interchangeable lenses. Though no details have been confirmed yet, according to a spec sheet leaked to a Russian blog, the mirrorless point-and-shoot with sport a 18 megapixel camera and a 10-30mm kit lens. The back will sport a 3.5-inch touch screen of unknown resolution and include WiFi and GPS. It will also ostensibly run Android 4.0.

We’ll know more in the coming weeks, but until then you can always buy the Samsung Galaxy Camera and Nikon S800c.
