Make use of Nexus 10 bottom charging pins with this magnetic pogo cable

For owners of the Nexus 10 tablet, few accessories have been made available from official channels. But vendors have begun to release cables that take advantage of the bottom pogo connector, a charging technology that allows temporary contact of two circuit boards to generate an electrical charge. The technology is similar to that of Apple’s MagSafe.

An eBay seller from South Korea is advertising an “authentic” pogo charger for the Nexus 10 that will bring the tablet from zero to 20% charge in under an hour. While this pales in comparison to the 30%+ you’ll get from a microUSB cable plugged into an AC adapter, the magnetic pogo cable does have convenience going for it.

The seller, ifsolution, is charging $19.99USD plus $5.99 shipping to get the cable to Canada, so plan accordingly. We also know that Google will be coming out with its own docking station in the new year, but nothing has officially been announced.
