Amazon Prime arrives in Canada with free two-day shipping for all your mobile needs

Amazon has announced that its Prime service, which offers free two-day shipping and $3.99-per-item one-day shipping, is now available in Canada. While Americans benefit from the $79/year service a little more than we do — Canadians don’t have access to the Kindle Lending Library or Instant Video Streaming — but the pros certainly outweigh the cons for perennial shoppers.

For places where one- or two-day shipping is not available, free standard shipping is available. The deal is not valid in Quebec, either.

There is a month-long free trial to the service for the trepidatious, and there is no commitment to continue the service after the first month. I have a lot of friends in the U.S. who say they can’t live without Amazon Prime, and if you’re anything like them, it would be a good idea to try it out.
