Additional details on Virgin’s new Silver, Gold and Platinum monthly plans

We let you know yesterday that Virgin Mobile will be revamping their monthly plans once again. The old names of Choice and Combo will be replaced with tiered Silver, Gold and Platinum plans. We now have all the details and the info is listed below:

“Silver” plans:
– $150 off the retail price of the phone. Plans range from $20/month to $50/month and include various amounts of daytime minutes, unlimited Canadian long distance, Unlimited Canada/US/International Text and Picture messaging, Voicemail, Call Display and various amounts of Pay-per-use data. Available on a 30-day term or on the Virgin Mobile SuperTab.

“Gold” plans:
– $300 off the retail price of the phone. Plans are priced at $35/month, $45/month and $60/month include unlimited Canadian long distance, Unlimited Canada/US/International Text and Picture messaging, Voicemail, Call Display and an allotment of data that ranges from 100MB to 1GB/month. Available on a 30-day term or on the Virgin Mobile SuperTab.

“Platinum” plans:
– $500 off the retail price of the phone. Plans start at $55/month, then increases to $70/month and tops out at $80/month. Platinum plans include 1,000 minutes or an unlimited offering, Canadian long distance, Unlimited Canadian Text, Video and Picture messaging, Voicemail, Call Display and “loads of data” that starts off at 150MB and caps out at 3GB/month. Platinum plans are available on a 30-day term or on a 3-year term.

You should see these changes go into place on Friday, January 25th.
