Virgin is joining the other carriers and will start to offer a cellphone Trade-In program this month. This is a similar program that parent-company Bell launched late last year. Basically you can walk into a retail location and hand over your old device and depending on the shape it’s in, Virgin will give you a credit towards a new phone or accessory. The credit is determined by the following criteria:
– Does the phone turn on?
– Is the keyboard & touchscreen functional?
– Is the screen or body cracked?
– Are there any signs of liquid damage?
– Are the battery and battery cover included?
The internal doc we received shows this will go live on January 29th – perfect for trading an old device for the new BB10 handset.
