TELUS gives Thunder Bay some LTE love

TELUS has once again expanded their LTE coverage by going live in Thunder Bay, Ontario (population is just over 100,000). In the press release TELUS notes that their LTE coverage is “now covers nearly 70 per cent of the Canadian population.” This is about 22 million Canadians. In addition, by the end of 2013 TELUS will turn on LTE (Long Term Evolution) speeds to Collingwood, Port Colborne, North Bay, Cornwall and Woodstock.

Finally, to set the stage and compete against Tbaytel, TELUS has come out with a new $50/month plan that includes unlimited Canada-wide calling, voicemail, caller ID and 6GB of data until February 7, 2013.
