Huawei Ascend P2 poses for the blurrycam as it nears MWC debut

The Huawei Ascend P2 is a sure thing — the question is whether the rumoured specs will match up to the hyped ones.

The device, which is expected to be less than 7mm thin and sport a 4.7-inch 1080p display, has graduated from render to blurrycam, and resembles its forerunner in many ways. The squared-off edges and rounded, soft-touch back are present, as is Huawei’s Emotion UI, though this phone should graduate to Jelly Bean by the time it is released.

Huawei is planning to push its home-made quad-core SoC to 1.8Ghz and add 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 13MP rear shooter and a whopping 2200mAh battery to the upcoming handset, which is on tap to debut at Mobile World Congress at the end of February.

What do you think? Is the P2 more or less interesting than the already-announced 5-inch Ascend D2?
