LG confirms 5.5-inch Optimus G Pro and Optimus L Series II for Mobile World Congress

gpro
As suspected, LG has made official its 5.5-inch Optimus G Pro and Optimus L Series II for international markets just days prior to Mobile World Congress.

The Optimus G Pro has only been made official for the company’s Korean home market, and though it looks very much like a Samsung Galaxy Note II we can’t help but get behind the device’s specs. A 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, a 1.7Ghz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC and a 3,140mAh battery is nothing to sneeze at.

As for the Optimus L Series II, it comes in three forms: the L7 II, L5 II and L3 II. Confused yet?  The L7 builds upon its predecessor’s design-focused marketing, but adds some decent specs to this year’s model. It has a 4.3-inch 800×480 pixel IPS display, a dual-core 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, 768MB RAM, 4GB storage with microSD expansion, a huge 2460mAh battery, and an 8MP back camera. All huge improvements over the underpowered 2012 model.

We don’t know too much about the L5 II and L3 II, but they should exist on a sliding scale in terms of specs and price.

Look for more as we approach MWC on February 25th.
