Google has once again updated the iOS version of its Drive app with a couple notable features. First and foremost, it is now demonstrably quicker to load documents, likely due to an upgraded backend infrastructure for all of Google Docs.

The app now also supports landscape mode editing which, for some users, is essential when viewing spreadsheets and text documents with wider tables.

Google Drive is the search giant’s play at Dropbox and SkyDrive, providing a cloud storage service with native document editing in the cloud. New users get 5GB for free and extra space is much cheaper than many of its competitors.
