Rogers stated last month that they’ll be expanding their LTE network into 44 new areas this year, thus bringing the total reach to 21.5 million Canadians. Today the wireless company has knocked 7 of the 44 locations off their list and flipped the LTE switch on in:

– Airdrie, Alberta;
– Langley, B.C
– Keswick; Ontario
– Hamilton, including Grimsby in Ontario
– Orillia, Ontario
– Stratford, Ontario
– Ottawa, including Kanata, Nepean, Gloucester, Stittsville and Cumberland

In an email to us Rogers claimed another first, stating that they are the first carrier to bring LTE to Stratford and Orillia, plus “all of these cities, to the exception of Airdrie, will be running the blazing fast 2600 MHz LTE spectrum.”
