In typically quiet fashion, Apple has released the fourth iOS 7 beta to developers today, bringing “bug fixes and improvements” to the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Apple has been steadily improving its big mobile refresh, tweaking the way that fonts are displayed, speeding up app loading times and fixing innumerable bugs in preparation for what is believed to be a September launch date.

According to BGR, Apple will release only six beta for this version of the OS, with the final Gold Master coming in mid-September, right before the ship date of the company’s updated iPhone. Also rumoured to be released at the same time is a low-cost iPhone variant, dubbed iPhone 5C.
