Nokia Lumia 1020 coming to TELUS along with the 4.7-inch Lumia 625

We reported yesterday that the Nokia Lumia 1020 would be coming to Rogers in October, and that it would be a carrier exclusive like the Lumia 920.

Unfortunately, the information we received was incomplete, and the resulting news should make Windows Phone fans quite happy.

We’ve received word directly from TELUS that they will also be carrying the Nokia Lumia 1020, the first time the company has carried a flagship Windows Phone since the Lumia 800 back in early 2012.

We’ve also been told that TELUS will carry the 4.7-inch Lumia 625, the company’s largest Windows Phone device, though it’s otherwise an entry-level product through and through. The 4.7-inch display has a resolution of 800×480 pixels, and the device carries a 1.2Ghz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 5MP camera and a 2000mAh battery.

So, good news all around. The 41MP Lumia 1020 won’t any longer be a carrier exclusive, and Canadians will have another low-cost smartphone to choose from.
