Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note II sales top 38 million units

Samsung entered a ‘new category of device’ when they launched the original Note back in 2012. At the time this ‘phablet’ was ridiculed for its large 5.3-inch display, but now into its third generation Samsung is projecting a wider adoption an increased sales.

According to an overseas report from ETNews, Samsung is projecting sales top 10 million units. In addition, JK Shin, Samsung’s CEO, stated that “Over 10 million Galaxy Note 3 will be sold. Galaxy Note 1 and Galaxy Note 2 were sold for a total of over 38 million. We believe Galaxy Note 3 will outdo its predecessors.”

The Note 3 will ship September 25 in 149 countries around the world, but we Canadians will see it hit stores starting on October 4th. The complete list of carriers that have committed to bring the Note 3 to its customers are TELUS, Rogers. Bell, WIND Mobile, Mobilicity, SaskTel, MTS and Videotron.
