Public Mobile is digging in hard and aiming straight at Mobilicity.
The uber affordable carrier has come out with a new promo that encourages Mobilicity customers – potentially those who are unsure of its future – to port over and save some cash.
Public Mobile states that Mobi customers can “Trade in your working Mobilicity phone and you will receive a credit of at least $20 off the purchase of a new Public Mobile phone. You will also receive $5 off of our $25 Unlimited Talk and Text Plan for the first 20 months of service. That’s a $100 saving! Last but not least, receive an additional $10 discount on any handset when you sign up for AutoPay.”
Mobilicity is currently seeking a buyer and has over 200,000 subscribers, with coverage located in Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver. Public Mobile is vastly different and offers entry-level devices and unlimited plans in the Greater Toronto Area and Montreal.
