Update: BlackBerry 10.2 OS upgrade to start rolling out today to Z10, Q10 and Q5 users

Do you have a BlackBerry Z10, BlackBerry Q10 or BlackBerry Q5?

While carriers Rogers and TELUS both noted that users will be seeing the BlackBerry 10.2 OS sometime ‘late November,’ BlackBerry announced today that it’ll be hitting their device ‘this week.’

BlackBerry notes that “version 10.2 will begin rolling out to customers starting this week through their carriers in Europe, Canada, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific, with other countries to follow. The update will be available for the BlackBerry Z10, BlackBerry Q10 and BlackBerry Q5 smartphones.”

According to the press release, OS 10.2 has “hundreds of new refinements” that includes BlackBerry Priority Hub and BlackBerry Natural Sound – this is “new technology exclusive to BlackBerry” and enables “BBM Voice and BBM Video chats sound more natural and realistic.” In addition, the upgrade bring instant previews of BBM, SMS and email within any app, plus copy and paste enhancements and easier social sharing.

No indication of specific carriers, but it’s safe to believe that all Canadian carriers are on board.

Update: Rogers, Bell, TELUS and Fido users have reported that BlackBerry 10.2 OS is now arriving on their Z10, Q10 and Q5 devices.
