Hailo, “The world’s biggest taxi app and driver network,” has expanded its Canadian presence past Toronto and now reached Montreal. Hailo allows you to instantly call a taxi and also pay via credit card within the app. The app is currently available on the iPhone and according to their Google Play listing they are “Montreal readiness – Hailo is coming very soon to Quebec’s metropolis.”
It also seems that Montreal is the next target for taxi competition as rival service Uber is currently in a “testing phase” within the city.
Update: According to Hailo, their Android app is now working for those in Montreal.
