TELUS and Koodo to release the Moto G for $200 outright ‘this month’

Motorola took the wraps off their new Android device today — the Moto G. This is an mid-range device that comes packed with some respectable specs, but at an affordable price. We’ve received an email that states both TELUS and Koodo Mobile will be releasing the Moto G “this month” for $200 outright.

The Moto G has a 4.5-inch HD display (1280×720), 1.2Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC, 1GB of RAM, 5MP camera with 720p video capabilities, 1.3MP front-facing camera, sans LTE and runs Android OS 4.3 Jelly Bean (upgrade to KitKat in January). In addition, the Moto G comes with “comfortable curved back and 19 customization options.”

Update: We’ve confirmed with TELUS that they will carry the 8GB version in Black, plus the removable backings and the flip case will be sold separately as an accessory at an extra cost (no price has been determined yet).
