BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9982 unveiled, offered in a limited edition model ‘hand-wrapped in genuine Crocodile leather’

As expected, the latest BlackBerry device to hit the market is the upscale Porsche Design P’9982. In a press release today, BlackBerry declared this ‘elite’ BlackBerry 10 device will arrive at Porsche Design stores on November 21st. Toronto has a Porsche Design store on Bloor Street West.

As for specs, the P’9982 is an all touch device that is “expertly crafted” with a satin finished stainless steel frame, hand-wrapped genuine Italian leather black back door that comes in three additional colours, beige, fuschia and blue, and sports a customized version of the BlackBerry 10.2. Each device will also come with an exclusive BBM PIN and a unique design that share some similarities to the Z10 and Z30. The price should come in around $2,000 (CDN).

In addition, BlackBerry has released a second version of the P’9982 with the backing made of hand-wrapped “genuine Crocodile leather.” This limited edition model will only see a limited run of 500 units with availability early December at Harrods in London.
