Duolingo receives design overhaul to ensure it stays the best language app on Android

Duolingo, the free-as-in-beer language learning app from the creators of Captcha and ReCaptcha, has received a design overhaul in its 2.0 version for Android.

While the app only recently debuted on the platform, Duolingo 2.0 sports a clean, modern design that makes it easy to learn one of the six languages it supports, including Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, and English.

The new version also provides sharper photos, better weekly updates for consistent users, and a host of new tools for better acquainting yourself with a new language. It’s simply the best free app for learning a new language, and the terms used in the app go towards translating digitized books, which is a good cause in itself.

Duolingo is also available for iOS users.
