Mailbox goes beyond Gmail, adds iCloud and Yahoo mail support

Mailbox took a big step towards helping all iOS users reach ‘inbox zero’ with its latest release. Previously, the elegant mail app, which focuses on rapid inbox management, provided support only for Gmail accounts. Tuesday’s update allows iPhone and iPad users to add iCloud, Yahoo, me.com, and mac.com email accounts. The update also adds support for background syncing and a few UX enhancements.

If your preferred email account is now supported and you are an Dropbox user, now might be the perfect time to check Mailbox out. Mailbox is owned by Dropbox, and linking accounts will net you an extra 1 GB in free Dropbox space.
