Google Search for iOS updated with full-screen browsing, iPad image search and better Maps integration

Google Search for iOS has received a nice little update today, bringing true iOS 7 support for both iPhone and iPad. Plugging into the new APIs opened by Apple in the latest software release, once a user loads a webpage after a search the tab and menu bars disappear to reveal a just the web content.

Though the last version added notifications for Google Now, the latest update refines things somewhat, tweaking the interface and increasing overall app performance. iPad users can also now take advantage of image search, with largely the same experience as desktop users.

Finally, Google has better integrated Maps into the Search app, allowing users to search for, and click on, addresses to access Google Maps proper.
