Samsung Canada says the new Galaxy NotePRO and Galaxy TabPRO tablets ‘should be available in Q1’

Earlier this week Samsung unveiled a number of new tablets, now officially known as the Galaxy NotePRO and Galaxy TabPRO. These all range in size from 8.4-inches to 12.2-inches and sport some improved specs, including a screen resolution of 2560×1600, Samsung’s new TouchWiz Magazine UX, Android 4.4 KitKat and a faux-leather backing that’s currently found on the Note 10.1 2014 Edition.

There’s not much Canadian-specific news coming out of CES this year, but in a press release Samsung Canada stated that “the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO tablet line will be offered globally and will be available starting Q1, 2014.” A rep informed us that the Galaxy NotePRO (12.2-inch), Galaxy TabPRO (12.2, 10.1, 8.4-inch) “should be available in Q1,” so hopefully this means these new Android-powered tablets will be here sooner than later.

Paul Brannen, Senior VP, Enterprise and Mobile Solutions, Samsung Canada said in the release that “We are excited to team up with so many of the world’s best mobile content and service providers to bring our Canadian customers industry-leading apps and services.” Some of the limited time free content — “Certain Conditions apply. Subject to availability” are Bitcasa, Bloomberg Businessweek+, NY Times, Evernote, Sketchbook Pro and Remote PC.
