Additional images of Samsung’s new TouchWIZ UI leak

Samsung is rumoured to be giving its TouchWIZ UI a refresh, of which we saw the first glimpses last week. The Android overlay seems to be heading in a new direction, one that heavily resembles Google Now and even HTC’s BlinkFeed, with a tile or card-based home screen.

If true, the content that Samsung will be displaying will range from flight status, location, messages, sports updates, weather updates, social media activity and electronic receipts. There is no word yet on how Samsung will have access to all this personal information, perhaps you’ll have to opt-in when you first boot up your device and create your own TouchWIZ experience (similar to BlinkFeed). Hopefully the battery life will be taken into consideration as at first glance it looks like there’ll be several apps continually running in the background.

In addition, there is a slight design connection to how Samsung recently changed up its tablet UI for the new Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO tablets, however, this new UI might probably first arrive on the upcoming Galaxy S5.
