Google: 60.7% of all active Android devices run Jelly Bean, 1.8% run KitKat

Google has once again updated their monthly chart that shows the distribution of the Android OS. This chart is mainly for devs, but gives a good indication of which OS is loaded on the devices visiting the Google Play Store.

This month Google shows Jelly Bean dominating and powering 60.7% of Android devices, up 10% since last November. Trailing, yet still showing confidence, is OS 2.3 Gingerbread with an even 20%. One-time popular OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is still prevalent after a couple years and has 16.1% of Android users attention. The latest OS to hit the market is the heavily branded OS 4.4 KitKat, now representing 1.8% of device, up from 1.4% last month.
