Sony Xperia Z2 tablet tipped to sport a 10.1-inch display, 6.4mm thin, run KitKat

Sony came out blazing in 2011 and joined many other manufacturers by launching a couple of tablets. The Xperia S and Xperia P hit the market with a teardrop design only to be left with minimal appreciation. Sony went back to the drawing board and shifted their tablet design to mirror its smartphones. The impressively thin Xperia Tablet Z was available to Canadians last year and added some improved specs and class.

@evleaks has tipped the masses that Sony will be coming to market with a new tablet announcement soon. The Sony XPERIA Z2 tablet is said to feature a waterproof 10.1-inch 1920×1200 pixel Triluminos display, a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, 8MP rear-facing camera with a 2MP front-facing camera, 6000mAh battery, 6.4mm body and run Android OS 4.4 KitKat. Unfortunately there’s no word on a launch date or pricing, but the above image is what we can expect to see, possibly at Mobile World Congress next week.
