Nokia to live stream Mobile World Congress press event, prepares to unveil the Android-powered X

Nokia and Microsoft signed an agreement 3-years ago that made Windows Phone OS its “primary smartphone strategy.” The company is set to unveil its first Android-powered device at Mobile World Congress and it seems to all but confirmed to shed the Normandy code name and be called the Nokia X.

A picture surfaced yesterday and this morning Nokia sent out invites to the event, showcasing four arrows that point inward and make up the letter X. Very creative indeed. If you care to partake in the momentous experience you can tune into the live webcast via their company blog on February 24th (details listed above).

As stated yesterday, the Nokia X will run customized version of Android 4.4 KitKat with a 4-inch display (480 x 854 pixels), 1GHz dual-core processor, dual-SIM, a 512MB RAM, 4GB storage and a 5MP camera. Pricing is expected to be below $200.
