HTC teases its most metal phone yet in latest ‘all-new HTC One’ promo

After sound comes body, according to HTC’s new Technical Translations video series, in which the company attempts to “educate” consumers on the simple advantages of its products.

In what comes off as a variation of Apple’s famous “I’m an Apple, I’m a PC” campaign, Technical Translations pairs a charming everyman with a quirky scientist to point out why the HTC One was so darn good — in this case its metal chassis — and why the all new HTC will be even better, with more metal. The original HTC One, though mostly aluminum, had some plastic trimmings on the top that were prone to damage.

Considering we’ve already seen most of the device’s specs and, as recently as this morning, a glimpse at a prototype in a 12-minute hands-on video, nothing should be a surprise when the new HTC One launches on March 25th. But we’re excited for HTC to continue to showcase its design prowess, especially if the company solves two of its major issues in this latest release: camera quality, and battery life. With the latest leak indicating the addition of a microSD card slot, hardcore Android users should be appeased as well as newbies who just want a well-made large-screen device to take on the iPhone.
