Touchless Control now reads out notifications to curious Moto X users

A small update to the ever-improving Touchless Control app on the Moto X now allows users to ask, “What’s up?” or say “Read Notifications” to have the Android voice engine read out the latest emails, tweets and messages.

While it’s only optimized for US English, it should work fine if the system language is set to Canadian English — Motorola says the functionality is in beta for other regions. Motorola also says it has improved the end-of-speech detection to make conversing with Google Now quicker and more accurate.
