Tim’s Times app for Android now available to download, helps you avoid line-ups at Tim Hortons

If you’re addicted to Tim Hortons and have an Android device you probably want to download this app. We wrote about “Tim’s Times” last month, but at the time it was only available on iOS. Good fortune has arrived as it’s now available on Android for those running Honeycomb or higher.

As for the specifics, the app is based on crowdsourced data and aims to help you “avoid frustratingly long line-ups” at Tim Hortons. Users can open the app and help each other out by inputting the lineup time at a specific Tim Hortons. The app shows either No wait, 3 minutes (cup in green), 5-10 minutes (cup in yellow), or 10+ minute wait times (cup in red). Saskatchewan-based Qjumprz Solutions designed the app and they have 4,200 Timmies in their database — so the one you frequent is probably in there.

In addition, a new feature has been added that encourages you to submit your contact info and gives you the ability to collect “Tim’s Coins” to be entered into weekly draws.

Perhaps in another update the company could break down if the lineup is in-store or at the drive-thru.
