Samsung Galaxy S5 mini specs reportedly leak online

We’ve seen the trend happen with previous devices and the Galaxy S5 will be no exception. The market for a ‘mini’ version of a flagship is now inevitable and the latest rumour points to a smaller, but still big, Galaxy S5.

According to SamMobile, Samsung is poised to launch the Galaxy S5 mini after the 5.1-inch GS5 is released in a couple weeks. The model number is reportedly SM-G800 and will feature similar specs to the GS4 with some notable improvements: a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 720p resolution (GS4 mini has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD), run OS 4.4 KitKat, 8MP rear-camera and a 2MP front-facing camera, possibly a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB storage and a 2,100 mAh battery.

The GS5 mini will have a similar design the its sibling and might also be water-resistant, but lack the inclusion of the heart rate monitor and fingerprint sensor. June is currently penciled in for an estimated release and no indication of carrier partners.
