Google Now will remember where you parked so you don’t have to

Google Now

Google has updated its Search app today, adding automatic parking detection, a feature that was reportedly in the works for a while.

The app will attempt to figure out where you’ve parked and place a marker in that spot, making it easy to follow a map back to the car later on. It’s yet another way that Google Now is trying to anticipate peoples’ needs without needing explicit action.

The company has also redesigned the Reminders tab so more readily show previous inputs so as to more easily reuse them.

The update is rolling out to all users running Android 4.1 and above throughout the week, so if you don’t have it yet, be patient.
