Sony Xperia Z2 up for pre-order at Sony Store, Z2 Tablet available now

Sony’s upcoming Xperia Z2 and Z2 Tablet are now available for pre-order on the company’s site, and in-store. It’s not clear when the devices will be unleashed on the public, but Sony has provided pricing and colour choices for those who want to stay in the loop.

The Xperia Z2 will be available unlocked from the Sony Store, both retail and online, for $699.99, first in black and later in purple and white. The device will work with practically every provider in Canada, even WIND and Videotron, as it has AWS support over HSPA+. It also supports Band 4 (AWS), Band 7 (2600Mhz) and Band 17 (700Mhz) over LTE, which makes it compatible with every carrier combination nationwide.

The Z2 Tablet, on the other hand, is available for purchase today in two flavours: a 16GB model for $529.99; and a 32GB one for $599.99. Though powerful, thin and waterproof, the tablets appear to be quite steeply priced. The tablets is available in white and black.

Neither the Z2 nor Z2 Tablet is available through the online portal at the moment, but inventory will likely be filled over the next few days. If you’re eager to put your name down, though, Sony recommends heading to a retail store for more immediate access. We’re hearing that the unlocked Xperia Z2 may only be available in stores beginning in June, but we’ll update you when we know more definitively.
