OnePlus One increasing production, now estimated to be available ‘late May’

OnePlus is making all the right moves to get their ‘2014 flagship killer‘ in the hands of people who want it.

The OnePlus One was announced a few weeks ago and the company declared “general availability” will be sometime in Q2. Recently, due to “high demand” they announced they are “frantically adjusting the production schedule” to make the 64GB Sandstone Black available in early June.

OnePlus has once again updated the community on a forum thread that states, “After seeing how popular the 64GB version was compared to the 16GB, we have pushed back the production of the 16GB Silk White in favor of getting the 64GB Sandstone Black out quicker.” The good news is that the date has been bumped up a couple weeks and now estimated to be available “Late May,” which could be in a couple weeks.

Canadians will be able to order both models of the CyanogenMod OS-based device through the US-based online store. The 16GB Silk White costs $299 (USD) and the 64GB Sandstone Black is priced at $349.

The OnePlus One comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 13MP Sony Exmor sensor (f/2.0 lens and 4K video), 5MP front-facing camera, JBL-designed stereo speakers and 3100mAh non-removable battery.
