LG unveils the QuickCircle case for the G3

LG will be holding a media event on May 27th in New York to unveil the G3. This has been heavily leaked online and proves to be another powerful flagship. The QuickCircle case for the G3 was announced today and clearly LG wants you to do the most popular things faster.

This is similar to the QuickWindow case from last year and gives the user access to a few favourite apps without having to flip the case open. When you tap the display through the QuickCircle case you’re shown your location, time, date and temperature. A second tap takes you to the menu where six apps are located — not sure if these can be swapped out — settings, camera, music, get a ‘health update,’ make calls, and send text messages.

LG notes that the G3 has Qi wireless capabilities and a charge can occur through the case. In addition, a ‘Smart Lighting’ feature shows a white circle around the edges that glows whenever the case is opened/closed or when a call/text message is received. No word yet on the price point, but the QuickCircle case will come in Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Aqua Mint, Indian Pink.
