Public Mobile seeing an ‘overwhelming response’ to its new 4G network, plans to launch two new devices in July

Public Mobile, which is now part of TELUS, recently updated its network from CDMA to HSPA+ and apparently there has been “overwhelming response.”

According to an internal doc we received, Public Mobile notes that “Due to the overwhelming response of our customers moving to our new national 4G network, we have depleted all inventory of the Samsung Galaxy Ace II x. The device is no longer available for us to purchase, so we cannot order more. As a replacement for the Samsung Galaxy Ace II x, Public Mobile is excited to announce the launch of the superior Huawei Ascend Y330. In addition we will be offering the Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini. We expect to launch both new handsets in the first half of July.”

The prices for these Android smartphones will be $69 for the Ascend Y330, and the GSIII mini will be $119.

TELUS purchased Public Mobile last November and acquired its 280,000+ subscribers.
