‘OK, Google’ everywhere in the latest Google Search update

Google Search update

Google Search has received a major update this week centred on voice search. Android users can now use the “OK, Google” voice search hotword from anywhere on their smartphone, including the lock screen. This is a handy improvement, as previous versions required you to back out from an app to the home screen before initiating a search.

The app update also comes with a new Audio History feature, which logs past voice searches in a way that Google says better learn the sound of your voice and particular pronunciation quirks (“OK, Google: To-MAH-to”). Privacy advocates can also opt-out of the logging feature if it gives them the creeps.

The new version of Google Search is available right now at the source link below.
