LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live carefully ripped open, both highly repairable

Teardown and repair outfit iFixit has successfully taken apart the first two Android Wear smartwatches. According to the plethora of pictures that show a step-by-step process to dismantle your G Watch or Gear Live, iFixit notes that they both are incredibly easy to repair. LG’s G Watch scored a 9 out of 10, and Samsung’s Gear Live an 8, with 10 being the easiest to repair.

As expected, both wearable devices have an 1.2GHz processor, 4GB internal storage, 512MB of RAM and a number of sensors to record our every move. Apart from the design differences, the Samsung Gear Live has a 1.63-inch AMOLED display with a 320 x 320 resolution, while the G Watch sports a 1.65-inch IPS display with a 280×280 resolution.
