Samsung Galaxy Alpha specs leak online, confirms ‘stunning metallic design’

There were rumours that Samsung would announce its mostly-metal Galaxy Alpha today. This partially came true by UK-based retailer Mobilefun as they went live with a product page that showed the specs of the unannounced Android. While the page was quickly removed, it still lives on in a cached version.

According to the site, the description reads: “Featuring a sharp 4.7″ Super AMOLED display, LTE enabled Exynos chipset and a stunning metallic design, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha combines the perfect blend of style and functionality.” Additional specs of the Alpha are expected to sport:

  • Display: 4.7″ Super AMOLED with 1280 x 720 pixels (320 ppi pixel density)
  • Memory: 32GB
  • OS: Android 4.4.2 (KitKat)
  • Processor: Octa-core Exynos
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, EDR, LE, Micro USB, GPS
  • Camera: 12MP with superfast autofocus, LED flash, video and secondary 2.1MP camera

There are no details of when Samsung intends to officially unveil the Galaxy Alpha, but earlier leaks revealed its latest smartphone will come in both black and white. In addition, no word if Samsung has plans to launch the Galaxy Alpha in Canada.
