According to Microsoft’s official “By the Numbers” section on its website, the Windows Phone Store now houses over 300,000 app and games, with “hundreds more added every day.” The totalĀ increased by 30,000 since July 14th when Microsoft stated during its Worldwide Partner Conference that the Store reached 270,000. Users have downloaded over 4 billion apps and games since the Store went live.
Several high profile developers recently released Windows Phone app, includingĀ Fitbit, Kobo, 500px, and BBM.
Comparing to competing app stores on the market, Apple has an estimated 1.2 million available apps with app downloads topping 75 billion. According to App Brain, there are over 1.3 million available apps on Google Play.
