BlackBerry goes live with email signup page for the Passport

BlackBerry is continuing to hype the BlackBerry Passport by teasing loyal users of its imminent release. On the company blog, BlackBerry said they “want to ensure our fans are the first to know the latest information about the BlackBerry Passport and when you can purchase it.”

To accomplish this, BlackBerry has started an email sign-up campaign where interested Berry users can “pre-register to receive emails about BlackBerry Passport availability,” and also “other upcoming BlackBerry products and services.” Basically you’re submitting your contact info for all upcoming BlackBerry news.

When CEO John Chen unveiled the Passport in June he noted that the 4.5-inch square BB10 smartphone will come out in September. There is no indication of the price point or carrier partners of the Passport.

According to BlackBerry’s website it looks like the Passport will follow similar branding to other BlackBerry 10 devices. The tag line on the sign up page: “Don’t limit yourself to the narrow world of today’s phones. See the bigger picture.”
