Acer’s Chromebook boasts 13-hour battery life

Mobile technology has come a long way, but one area where we continue to be frustrated is battery life. We can never seem to get enough juice out of our electronics. Acer is tackling that issue with its latest Chromebook, which it claims can last all day and then some on a single charge.

The Acer Chromebook 13 packs Nvidia’s quad-core Tegra K1, which is working alongside 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and a 1080p 13.3-inch display. Though Acer hasn’t offered any specs on the battery, it claims it lasts up to 13 hours. For an extra $20, that number can be increased to 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage.

Officially announced today, the Chromebook 13 is up for pre-order in the US already, but Acer has yet to detail Canadian availability. Pricing is set at $299, but if you’re willing to take the resolution down to 1366 x768, you can knock that figure down to $279.
