Nokia Lumia 920 users can now update to Windows Phone 8.1 Lumia Cyan

Nokia Lumia 920 users can now update to the latest version of Windows Phone, dubbed Lumia Cyan. The device, which was a Rogers exclusive when it launched back in November 2012, spots a 4.5-inch 768p display, a dual-core 1.5Ghz Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, an 8.7MP PureView camera and a 2,000mAh battery.

Lumia Cyan consolidates all the features of Windows Phone 8.1, including Action Center, Word Flow keyboard and a host of enterprise-related improvements, and adds some camera tweaks and first-party apps specific to Lumia devices. While this update does not include Cortana, Microsoft’s voice assistant, for Canadians, it’s possible, with a bit of tweaking, to enable it. The next update, Windows Phone 8.1 GDR 1, which is currently available in Developer Preview, will support an alpha version of Cortana for Canadians.

With the Lumia 1020 and 625 already updated to Lumia Cyan, all that remains is the 520 and 620 to complete the first stage of Nokia’s comprehensive schedule.

To update, head to Settings/Phone update and get started.
