Pollenize app breaks down Toronto mayoral candiates and their platforms

Toronto’s mayoral election is fast approaching but a lot of people still aren’t sure who they’re voting for or the platforms on which the candidates are running.

Pollenize is an app that focuses on candidates and includes bios for Rob Ford, John Tory, David Soknacki, and Olivia Chow. Karen Stinz, who recently dropped out of the running, is listed as ‘campaign concluded.’ Clicking on the caricature of each candidate brings up a short bio as well as the candidate’s positions on major issues, like the Toronto Island Airport, the restoration or tearing down of the Gardiner Expressway, garbage collection, and unemployment.

Pollenize is available for both iOS and Android, though it’s important to note that this app is for “popular elections.” Given Rob Ford’s high profile, the Toronto mayoral race definitely qualifies.
