Samsung Canada says yes to Galaxy Note 4, maybe to Galaxy Note Edge (Updated)

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Following a request for more information, we’ve received this statement from Samsung Canada regarding the Canadian availability of the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note edge:

“At this time, we would like to confirm that the Samsung GALAXY Note 4 will be available in Canada later this year. Additionally, we are currently evaluating the Canadian market regarding availability for the GALAXY Note Edge.”

Based upon past history with the previous Note devices, we can expect the majority of Canadian carriers will retail the Galaxy Note 4. However, the above statement from Samsung Canada leads us to speculate that if the Note Edge does make it above the 49th parallel, it will do so in a much more limited fashion, likely as a carrier exclusive.

No word yet on pricing for either phablet, but expect that information to come with individual carrier availability announcements.

Update: TELUS officially confirmed today via Twitter that they will launch the upcoming Galaxy Note 4. No indication of a price or an actual date, just that it’ll be available “soon.”

Update #2: Koodo Mobile, a sub-brand of TELUS, has also hopped on board the Galaxy Note 4 announcements and stated they will make the device available this fall.

Update #3: Rogers has confirmed that they will also bring the flagship Galaxy Note 4 to customers. Again, no word on a price, date or colours, but probably in black and white.
